Hezbollah attacked on June 12 a military factory and three key bases of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in response to the assassination of its senior commander Taleb Sami Abdullah, who was also known as “Abu Taleb”.

Abu Taleb was killed along with three of his comrades late on June 11 in an airstrike that targeted the southern Lebanese town of Jouaiyya. Several civilians were reportedly wounded in the same airstrike.

The IDF claimed responsibility for the deadly airstrike the next day and revealed that Abu Taleb commanded Hezbollah’s Nasr unit, which is responsible for the region between the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms and the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.

Abu Taleb was a “source of knowledge” with many years of experience, according to the IDF, who noted that he was the most senior Hezbollah commander it had killed amid the ongoing confrontation.

Hezbollah response to the assassination began early in the morning. In separate statements, the group said its fighters targeted the factory of Plasan, an Israeli company that produces armored vehicles, in the settlement of Sasa with guided missiles and fired dozens of “Katyusha” rockets at the IDF’s air traffic control base on Mount Meron, the main headquarters of the northern corps in the Ein Zeitim base and the reserve headquarters of the same unit at the Amiad base.

These attacks were carried out in response to the Israeli airstrike that killed Abu Taleb and his three comrades, according to the statements.

In other statements, Hezbollah announced a series of eight attacks against the IDF in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip.

The group’s fighters shelled the sites of Ruwaisat al-Qarn, Ramtha, al-Samaqa, Ramia, al-Raheb and the Zarit Barracks were shelled with rockets and artillery. They also targeted surveillance equipment in the Ruwaisat al-Alam site with “suitable weapons” and a gathering of Israeli troops in the Malikiyah site with artillery.

Hebrew media reported that more than 200 rockets were launched by Hezbollah from southern Lebanon to Israel. While some of the rockets were intercepted by the IDF’s Iron Dome air defense systems, others struck causing damage and a series of fires. No casualties were reported, however.

The IDF responded by targeting several rocket launchers, launch sites and other infrastructure of Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese towns of Taybeh, Markaba, Rachaya al-Foukhar, Hanine, Yater, Markaba and Tallouseh. Lebanese media didn’t report any civilian casualties. However, Hezbollah mourned a fighter.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza last October, Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks against the IDF in support of the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions in the Strip.

So far, the border clashes have resulted in ten civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 15 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 400 people have been killed, including 324 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 80 civilians.

so when do the gloves come off. hezbollah launches these attacks, but they don’t seem to amount to much, except to burn some grassland in northern israel. until i see actual proof the hezbollah as actually destroyed israeli army camps or installations, they are liars just like israel.
