On April 15th, 11 Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy vessels “harassed” 6 US warships operating in the north Persian Gulf, US Navy’s Central Command said.

The IRGCN vessels repeatedly conducted “dangerous and harassing approaches” of the USS Lewis B. Puller, USS Paul Hamilton, USS Firebolt, USS Sirocco, USCGC Wrangell and USCGC Maui while the U.S. vessels were conducting joint integration operations with U.S. Army AH-64E Apache attack helicopters in the international waters of the North Arabian Gulf.
“The IRGCN vessels repeatedly crossed the bows and sterns of the U.S. vessels at extremely close range and high speeds, including multiple crossings of the Puller with a 50-yard closest point of approach (CPA) and within 10 yards of Maui’s bow.
The U.S. crews issued multiple warnings via bridge-to-bridge radio, five short blasts from the ships’ horns and long-range acoustic noise maker devices, but received no response from the IRGCN.”
After about 1 hour of calls, the IRGCN responded to the bridge-to-bridge radio queries and maneuvered away.

I think it is Iran signaling to Trump that it is ready for whatever Trump throws at it, including war. First, Ghaani visited Iraq to meet with some Iraqis concerning forming a new government and resistance to America. This time, Trump did not authorize an assassination of Ghaani despite American intelligence services being aware of his visit. The MSM portrayed it as a secret visit. I don’t believe such important Iranian military figures can travel out of Iran without the U.S intelligence knowing, especially when these figures meet locals in the host country. And now, Iranian speedboats are coming less than 10 meters from U.S ship. That is way too close. I remember Trump once threatened to “blow” Iranian ships out of the water if they dare harass U.S ships.
The assassination of Soleimani took Iran by Surprise. It was a calculated escalation by Trump cos he knew Iran wasn’t on a war alert then. It took four days for Iran to retaliate because it was busy moving missiles and other weapons systems in place. The shooting down of a Ukrainian plane is proof that Iran expected a war and was prepared to fire the first shot (there were no confirmed American hits on Iran when Iran fired at that plane). That means Iranian forces had the order to shoot at “Manned” American planes that violate its airspace.
I now beginning to think Iran avoided killing Americans during its retaliatory strike in order to offer Trump a way to climb down the ladder he’d foolishly gone up.
