Warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out late on December 5 no less than 14 airstrikes on terrorists’ positions in the southern Idlib countryside.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the airstrikes targeted the towns of Kafr Nabl, Hass, Hesh and Sahal.
Opposition activists released videos showing some of the airstrikes, which targeted the outskirt of Hass. The town is controlled by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
Earlier on December 5, the southeastern Idlib countryside witnessed heavy clashes between HTS and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). Army units attempted to advance towards the town of Umm Jalal. However, they were pushed back.
Despite the repeated provocations of HTS and its allies, the army’s operations are still limited to small ground attacks. A strategy that has failed to deter terrorist groups in the region.
Yet again the terrorists are seemingly waiting for the Russian/Syrian airstrikes to happen,
‘Why’, at this terminal stage of the conflict?
Are they perhaps hoping the US will step in, on their side?
I would think so. I doubt that NATO has the guts to do so with NATO blood though. I hope not anyway.

Go, Russia and SAA! (If the SAA is limiting its operations to small ground attacks, there is a reason. Perhaps they don’t want to provide Israel or the US with a pretext for another attack against them?
A moment will come when the Russians and the SAA go ALL IN! The reasons wont always be because of the reasons we think it is! Sometimes the timing is based on geopolitical events in other countries! I think when this time comes, we will see 1/2 to 3/4 of idlib taken back by russia and the SAA!
That would be great! And then the US and West will scream about loss of civilian life when most of the civilians there are families of terrorists ( I would not want to see them all killed, though.) This is of course after the US bombed Raqqa and Mosul to smithereens when the civilians in these cities were innocent bystanders held hostage by the terrorists. The US gov’t doesn’t care about life at all, as long as it’s somebody else’s.
The New US govt wont say anything! They pulled out! If they scream like u say, they would have themselves to blame! They wont do it! They will say that HTS are terrorists!
