1400 families return to home in Anbar province of Iraq

The Anbar province authority in Iraq expected that 13,500 families will return their liberated homes near the city of Ramadi.

The governor of Iraq’s Anbar province, Sohaib Rawi, said on Monday that more than 1400 families returned to their home since they left due to war and destructions.

“Over 1,400 displaced families have returned to Zangura and Asriya villages,” the governor told the local Alsumaria broadcaster.

Sohaib Rawi also said that they are expecting a total of 13,500 families to return to their homes.

Iraqi army regained control over a vast area of Ramadi since December 2015.  Ramadi had been occupied by ISIS terrorists since May 2015. It is reported that the Iraq army also liberated neighboring areas around the city.

However, the 66-member coalition has been failing to control ISIS terrorism, when an intensive push by Iraqi forces are dealing terrorists and forcing it out of the central city of Ramadi, the capital of the western Anbar Province.
