On April 7th, 15 Chinese military aircraft, including 12 fighter jets, flew into the southwestern part of Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
The warplanes in question were eight J-10 fighters, four J-16 fighters, two KJ-500 airborne early warning and control planes, and one Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft.
Analysts have linked this week’s activity with the move south of China’s Liaoning aircraft carrier, earlier on April 5th.
Four People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) Shenyang J-16 fighter planes, four Chengdu J-10 fighter jets, and one Shaanxi KJ-500 early warning and control aircraft entered the southwest corner of Taiwan’s ADIZ, according to the Ministry of National Defense (MND). In addition, one Shaanxi Y-8 anti-submarine warfare plane flew into the southwest and southeast corners of Taiwan’s identification zone.
In response, Taiwan scrambled planes, issued radio warnings, and deployed air defense missile systems to track the PLAAF planes. An ADIZ is an area that extends beyond a country’s air space where air traffic controllers ask incoming aircraft to identify themselves.
On April 7th, the US warned China against its “increasingly aggressive” moves towards Taiwan, as well as the Philippines.
State Department spokesman Ned Price reiterated at a regular briefing that the US commitment to Taiwan was “rock solid.”
“An armed attack against the Philippines’ armed forces, public vessels, or aircraft in the Pacific, including in the South China Sea, will trigger our obligations under the US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty,” Price said.
“We share the concerns of our Philippine allies regarding the continued reported massing of PRC maritime militia near the Whitsun Reef,” Price said.
Price voiced “concern” about the Chinese moves.
“The United States maintains the capacity to resist any resort to force or other forms of coercion that would jeopardize the security or the social or economic system of the people on Taiwan.”
President Joe Biden has vowed a robust defense of allies and, in a rare point of continuity with his predecessor Donald Trump, has supported strong pushback against Chinese assertiveness.
Taiwanese Foreign Minister Joseph Wu said the military threat against his country is increasing, and while he said it was not yet “particularly alarming,” the Chinese military in the last couple of years has been conducting what he called “real combat-type” exercises closer to the island.
“We are willing to defend ourselves, that’s without any question,” Wu said. “We will fight a war if we need to fight a war, and if we need to defend ourselves to the very last day, then we will defend ourselves to the very last day.“
Taiwan has spotted Chinese drones circling the Taipei-controlled Pratas Islands in the South China Sea and may shoot them down if they stray too close, a government minister said.
Speaking at parliament, Lee Chung-wei, who heads the Ocean Affairs Council under whose purview the Coast Guard falls, said that they had recently spotted Chinese drones circling the Pratas, though they have not flown over the islands.
“They have never entered our restricted waters and airspace, they’ve just flown around them at a certain distance,” Lee said.
Asked how the Coast Guard would react if a Chinese drone entered that restricted zone, Lee said they had rules of engagement.
“After it enters it will be handled under the rules. If we need to open fire, we open fire.”

They are advising that if the Yankee & NATO start a war will have to meet it on several fronts, at this time they are many among the enemies of the evil empire to hold your finger on the trigger, bad news for the decadent outlaw empire, right in its moment of greatest fragility.
The end of the USA …. not the end of the world…. once these things happen, the rest of the world would be free to rebuild China Russia etc…. nobody will try to rebuild the USA!
Have you ever noticed that the people who show just a scintilla of interest in what happens in the US are the same type of rotten, corrupt, reckless, wasteful, degenerate politicians who belong to the same club. As for the common people of other countries, they may show just a small amount of interest, amazement or amusement, concerning what happens. You are absolutely correct about any country not giving assistance, even in natural disasters, – whether food, tents, medical supplies, water purification equipment, money, medical supplies, etc. Have you ever heard of another country giving financial aid to a financially bankrupt, crash diving US economy? To give just one example how unbelievably brain-damaged crazy US foreign policy is: the US continues to give a tiny (less than 10 million) country (Israel) at least $3.8 BILLION each year, plus millions of dollars in private donations when they have a better, safer society and a national health care system. Things that the donor country does not have. It is a really sick, downright crazy situation.
The next few years will be a rollercoaster for certain.
I suspected this a few years ago and I was happy in the thought that my allotted time on earth is now in the ‘Winter months’.
It appears today that the ‘seasons’ are regressing and that I may endure a complete breakdown of individual freedoms before my appointment with the Grim Reaper :)
I agree. Unfortunately I also live in the USA and will suffer probably die during the process.
Considering how much death, destruction, terror and misery the US has inflicted on other countries since 1945 in unjust wars and interventions, for we Americans, we will definitely reap what we sow. The exterminator is long overdue.
US and its Zionist masters have invaded and destabilized 44 countries since 1945 killing over 30 million people from Korea, Vietnam to now Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya,Yemen and Palestine.
Tehran-Beijing partnership a game changer for Mideast and the world
China’s leaders think strategically, and they have calculated that Iran or Persia an ancient sophisticated neighbor they have been dealing with for the past three millennia via the old Silk Road, was a sound long-term prospect, an energy partner and a powerful anti-imperialist country of consequence in the region that would enhance Beijing’s influence and access to the economic resources of the country and beyond. In a rare subtle Chinese rebuke to US vassal states globally, China’s unflappable and and extraordinarily diplomatic FM Wang Yi stated, ” Iranians are not people known to change their policies or minds after one phone call from Washington”. A rare Confucian insult to weak wavering states globally.
Chinese cowards can never fight a strong enemy. A 100 million Chinese were starved to death by Mao. This proves that Chinese are lazy people and are a slave to their @$$hole leaders
lazy? Chinese Lazy? you must be smoking some good cow dung
Chinese, Korean, japanese are very very very hardworking. They reply my emails as late as 11.25 pm
Also, korean war says otherwise.

about time prc put an end to taiwan’s plan of independence from china, plans fomented by the yankee-twats and as per usual, delusional plans put into spin by the demented incumbent in the white house – rest assured that the previous one was equally demented and really a laughingstock for the world.
If Chinese Taipei wants peace? It better prepare to disarm. (or only buy Chinese weapons)
The PRC can take Taiwan at any time they choose. Taiwan can talk tough about shooting down drones or fighting until the last day but it’s all nonsense. I mean, they’ll fight to the last day all right. They are as outgunned as a 3rd grade boys basketball team taking on the L.A. Lakers. But, the PLA has to be able to first stiff arm and drive off the initial American reaction to the conflict. Then, more seriously, later they have to face off and fight to a standstill a large American/British/Australian force that’s been gathered up to intervene. They need to be able to secure airfields and secure bases on Taiwan in a time frame roughly equal to that which will be required for the Americans and their satellites to gather and move a massive force to Guam, or somewhere nearby. And now, the PLA also has to plan on Japan’s possible participation in a combined force. So, unless forced to, The PRC won’t launch a Taiwan action until all Type 055 and 052DL Destroyers are commissioned and not until there has been significant numbers of J-10C’s and J-20’s brought into service, the latter with the new engines. And perhaps 50 more DF-41’s and the first Type 096 submarines, to provide enough strategic deterrence to keep things conventional. At that point it might be off to the races. Probably even.
NK and Russia to be accounted for depending on how the war progresses. Regardless, it is likely that NK will move once China moves considering that events in Korea and China have been intertwined since 1945. NK sent hundreds of thousands of its troops to China during the Chinese civil war and played a key role in driving the Nationalists and US all the way to Taiwan, and China started expanding its territorial control from the north of Yalu river separating China and Korea where millions of Koreans live.
It is unlikely that Japan will be involved in the war given Japan’s war crimes against Korea and China. China and NK won’t hesitate to use nukes on them. US bases in south korea (will be annihilated by NK), Japan and Guam will be annihilated if US decides to get involved. Taiwan is not far from the mainland and US airbases will be rendered inoperable and all US ships will be sunk.
Russia has Pacific fleet based in Vladivostok and Kamchatka Peninsula with subs and warships. Its war planes can easily to fly from Mongolia.
China-Taiwan is a very complex and strained relation but both agree that it’s all China they only disagree about who be in charge. China thinks China should rule over Taiwan and Taiwan thinks it should rule over China. The likes of USA would rather see Taiwan as a independent country since it fits US interests and there are some pro independence movements in Taiwan. The thing is that Taiwan independence is not allowed according to Chinas constitution, the constitution would force China into a war if it would happen. There are not doubt that China would got into any war not to lose Taiwan or China would lose face (anyone that knows anything about Chinese culture understands what losing face means in china and why that wouldn’t happen).
One day, hopefully soon, whenever there’s a news article regarding international affairs, the term “state department” will no longer appear anywhere, because the US will have ceased to exist as a nation and that term will no longer exist or be of relevance.
