It is reported that a Flydubai flight FZ981 has crashed in Rostov-on-Don, a southern Russian city, killing all 62 passengers and crew on board.  According to the report, the flight was crashed in its second landing try amid poor weather condition. The Flight was en route from Dubai approaching to land on Rostov-on-Don airport.

The Boeing 737-800 jet crashed near the runway during a second approach in conditions of poor visibility, according to Air-traffic control and local emergency services confirmations.

“According to preliminary data, the Boeing 738 crashed in poor visibility conditions, some 50-100 meters left of the runway,” the source said.

The regional Emergencies Ministry said that all crew and passengers on board were killed in the crash.

“During the landing approach a Boeing-737 crashed. It had 55 passengers on board. All of them died,” a regional spokesman told a Russian news agency TASS.

The Russia’s Investigative Committee (IC) spokesman Vladimir Markin said that both FZ981 flight data recorders and the cockpit voice recorder were recovered from the crash site and specialists are examining to retrieved data from them.

CEO of FlyDubai, Mr. Ghaith Al-Ghaith refused the possibility of terrorism on the plane crash and no distress signal was issued by the Pilot. He also said that the pilot was highly experienced of 5700 flight hours; the plane was new since it was made in 2011 and passed January 21, 2016 maintenance tests.All killed in FlyDubai Boeing crash in Rostov-on-Don of Russia

According to FlyDubai, 62 people on board were dead. There were 44 Russians, eight Ukrainians, two Indians and one Uzbekistani, altogether 55 among the dead passengers. Crews were from Cyprus (captain), Colombia, Kirgizia, Russia, Spain (2) and the Seychelles, as said in LifeNews.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed deep condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased passengers of the Boeing.

“The Russian president feels deeply for all those who lost their loved ones in the Boeing 737 crash in Rostov-on-Don,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Saturday.
