On March 13 morning, the the operational headquarters of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) in the Russian region of Tyumen announced that security forces had finished a counteterrorist operation in the area.
“The counterterrorist operation in Tyumen is completed, as of 6:23 am Moscow time. The special legal regime has been cancelled within the borders of Novoselov, Magnitogorskaya, Lokomotivnaya streets, the Federation of the Kalininsky administrative district of Tyumen,” the statement said adding that all limits and restrictions have been lifted as well.
The operation, which already drew significant attention from the media, started on April 12 in the Kalininsky district located in the western outskirts of the city of Tyumen.
Security forces cordoned off a territory that included several buildings where 2 ISIS terrorists were hiding. In response to a surrender proposal, ISIS members opened fire at law enforcement officers. Both terrorists were eliminated in the followed firefight.
Security forces seized 2 assault rifles and 2 improvised explosive devices, which were belonging to the eliminated terrorists.
To avoid casualties among civilians over 100 people were evacuated from the area of the operation to the local school. No casualties among security officers were also reported.
The National Anti-Terrorism Committee said that two suspected terrorists were presumably plotting an attack in the city.
Kill these ISSholes wherever they appear. Do it like the Russians do… The way the SDF in Syria allegedly tries to fight them down is a joke and as a consequence of it their meanwhile captured beheaders may be re-exported to the countries where they came from… where political weirdos like Merkel and the Greens want them to get free amongst decent citizens…
