2 US Soldiers Killed In Supposed Taliban Ambush In Afghanistan (Map)

2 US soldiers were killed during a military operation in eastern Afghanistan on June 26, bringing to nine the total number of US military fatalities in the country in 2019.

A statement by the US-led NATO mission in Afghanistan confirmed thecasualties, but did not provide further details. According to reports by the Taliban, the US personell were likely killed in an abmush the province of Wardak.
