200 Locals From Manbij City Sign Reconciliation Agreement With Syrian Authorities

On November 1, 200 locals from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)-held Manbij city in the northern Aleppo countryside signed a reconciliation agreement with the Syrian authorities according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

SANA said that the locals entered the Syrian government areas through the al-Tayha crossing coming from the SDF-held areas in the northern Aleppo countryside. SANA added that the reconciliation agreement will allow the locals to return to their properties and move freely in the government areas.

Back on 27 August 2016, the SDF captured Manbij city after allowing hundreds of ISIS fighters to withdraw from the city. The SDF then handed over the city to the Manbij Military Council (MMC).

However, unlike the SDF, the MMC got excellent relations with the Syrian government. The MMC even deployed a joint force with the SAA west of Manbij city after Turkey captured al-Bab city.

SANA reported that since 2016, more than 550 locals from Manbij city have signed reconciliation agreements with the Syrian authorities. Many of the locals who signed the agreement were former Free Syrian Army (FSA) or (SDF) fighters, according to Syrian pro-government sources.

Most Arabs in the SDF-held areas will likely sign similar agreements with the Syrian government once ISIS is defeated. This will place a huge pressure on the US-backed SDF that’s depending on the few Arabs in its areas, and the Arab refugees to present itself as a Syrian multi-ethnic force.

Manbij has been flooded with refugees from DeirezZor, Raqqah, Idlib and all over to the tune of some 100.000, just since the liberation by the SDF, the town is booming.

Some of those refugees want to go back to Assad held territory for practical reasons, good for them.

To infer from that that the majority of arabs want to go over to Assad is totally beyond logic.

A real fact is that several thousand of the MMC participated in the assault on Raqqah, the commander of the MMC getting killed there, which is not an indication they want to “go to” Assad at all.

So a bad report imo.

Wow, what bias is coming from you, MMC fought together with SDF is not because they like them but because they want isis gone asap, once things will calm down we will see what they will do, secondly Manbij is the closest safe place from Idlib,Raqqah, Idlib, you want them to cross the dessert going from Deir Ezor, also there is much less or no fighting at all than in cetral Syria, because obviously the fsa, usa and the rest of the western groups don’t target Manbij, as usual you are trying to sugarcoat the kurds and US. Another bs comment from you, nothing else, LOL.

ABORTION RIGHTS IN MANBIJ!!!!!!

Yep, most people OF Syria would rather be with Assad’s government than with the terrorists and their foreign state sponsors. They’re not stupid and don’t desire to be enslaved by foreigners. Good for them!

Hopefully this will be a first step in deligitmizing the damned Kurds.
