One civilian was killed as a result of shelling of the village of Spartak in the Donetsk People’s Republic by Ukrainian troops, a local government official said on Monday. A spokesman for the DPR defence ministry said earlier on Monday three DPR militias and two civilians had been wounded in shelling of DPR territories by Ukrainian army in the past 24 hours.
The Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units continued their advance into the villages on the outskirts of the recently-liberated town of Tal Abyad near the Turkish border, forcing the ISIL terrorists to withdraw from the area. Justin Nojan Sullivan, 19, had planned to commit mass murder in the name of ISIL after buying a semi-automatic AR-15 at a June 20 gun show in the southeastern state, the FBI said on Monday. Sullivan was arrested on Friday, a day before he had planned to make a purchase. Sullivan was contacted by an undercover FBI agent on June 6, when he was offered help to join what Sullivan described as ISIL in North America, whose “doctrine is Guerilla Warfare in and out”.
