24 Army Soldiers Killed In Ongoing Clashes In Afghanistan’s Uruzgan Province

On October 5, an Afghan official from Uruzgan province said that 24 soldiers of the Afghan Army, and over 80 Taliban fighters were killed in the ongoing clashes in the province, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency.

Chora District Governor Amenullah Khaliqi claimed that the Afghan Army finally repelled a large-scale attack of the Taliban in the district on October 4 after 6 days of intense clashes.

“Groups of Taliban from Kandahar and Zabul provinces joined the local Taliban to wage attacks on security checkpoints here [in Chora district]; 18 soldiers [of the Afghan Army] and six policemen and 80 Taliban members have been killed in clashes,” Khaliqi told Anadolu Agency.

Meanwhile, the Taliban news agency Voice of Jihad claimed that Taliban fighters repelled an attack of the Afghan Army on tis positions in Sari area of Chora district on October 4. Voice of Jihad claimed that 3 Afghan soldiers were killed in the failed attack and denied that the Taliban lost any fighter in the clashes.

Furthermore, the Taliban media agency al-Emara released a video of Taliban fighters in Shilgar district of Uruzgan province. The video also showed the bodies of dead Afghan Army soldiers. Moreover, Al-Emara claimed that the whole district is now under the full control of the Taliab.

Uruzgan province is expected to witness more clashes between the Taliban and the Afghan Army due to its strategic position north Kandahar province in central Afghanistan.

this country will never be safe. after so many years of foreign armies stragling there…we are back at 0.

so many died fighting USs’ creation…. taliban….even americans. But now taliban rise from the ashes again
