24 people have been killed and 90 injured in two explosions in the Afghan capital of Kabul on September 5. Local sources say that the attack was near the Afghan Defense Ministry and conducted by suicide bomber.
A police chief and some high-ranking Defense Ministry offials were killed in the blasts.
The Taliban movement have claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Defense Ministry building is located in the centre of Kabul near the Presidential Palace, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) HQ and the US Embassy.
