According to Afghan officials, two dozen ISIS terrorists were killed in US drone strikes in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Nangarhar.
On February 24, the Nangarhar provincial governor’s spokesman said the aerial assaults took place in the Achin district of the province located 120 kilometers east of afghan capital.
The spokesman also added that 25 members of ISIS terrorist group were killed in the aerial assaults.
“A considerable amount of weapons and munitions were destroyed during the raids,” said Attaullah Khogyani, Nangarhar provincial governor’s spokesman.
It was reported on February 18 that 15 people were also killed in a US drone attack in Achin district.
After the United States and its allies attacked the country as part of Washington’s so-called war on terror, Afghanistan has been gripped by terror for more than 14 years. Although the 2001 attack overthrew the Taliban, still it poses significant security threat in Afghanistan.
