At least 25 people were killed and 51 others were injured in US strikes on positions of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Syria and Iraq on December 29 evening, according to Iraqi sources.
Following the strikes, the US military issued a statement claiming that it struck positions of Kataib Hezbollah (Iranian-backed) in response to attacks on US facilities. Washington also blamed Kataib Hezbollah for the recent attack on the US military base in Iraq’s Kirkuk, which killed a US contractor and injured several US soldiers.

According to the PMU, the targeted Kataib Hezbollah forces belonged to brigades 45 and 46 of the PMU. The PMU is an official part of the Iraqi Armed Forces. Therefore, it appears that the US just conducted a strike on the military of its formal ally.
I wonder how they will retaliate against the pindos military.
