On November 27, an explosion of roadside bomb killed 3 US service members and wounded 3 others near the city of Ghazni in central Afghanistan, the NATO-led Resolute Support mission said. A US civilian contractor was also wounded.
The Taliban movement, which controls large parts of Ghazni province, claimed responsibility for the attack.
“The U.S. and Afghan forces are desperately trying to recapture some of the important places in Ghazni and have conducted several raids but they couldn’t succeed and have suffered losses,” a Taliban commander in Ghazni said.
The Taliban commander added that Taliban members managed to plant a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) in the Shahbaz area. This IED hit one of their armored vehicles of the joint U.S.-Afghan security forces, which were conducting an operation in the area.
Only three? Oh well. Maybe next time.
Tell me where you live, I’ll pick you up for your appointment with the Devil.
Schmuck.
South Africa. You wanna invade us or just drone bomb me?
This is the first time in a while that the Taliban has managed to use something other than an Afghan defector to get at US troops. What does that bring this year’s losses to? I’m guessing a dozen, I’ll look that up.
US forces rarely leave the safety of their forts, and when they do it’s mostly by air. The Taliban won this war long ago.
The English, Russians left with their tails between their legs and the US will too.
C’mon Trump. Get us out of there. This is just one reason that the liberal Democrats took the midterms and why his election in 2020 is in jeapordy.
