On October 20, ten people were killed and at least 20 others were wounded in a series of artillery strikes that targeted the town of Arihah in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib.
Sources based in Greater Idlib claimed that the strikes were carried out by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). According to the sources, some of the casualties were children.
Arihah is located along the Lattakia-Aleppo highway, also known as the M4, right on the main frontline in the southern Idlib countryside. The town is an infamous stronghold of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the de-facto ruler of Greater Idlib. The terrorist group and its allies maintain a network of positions inside and around the town.

The deadly artillery strikes on Arihah took place a few hours only after a bombing in the Syrian capital, Damascus, that claimed the lives of 14 people, mostly service members.
HTS and its allies shelled several artillery positions of the SAA in what they claimed to be a “response” the strikes that targeted Arihah. No casualties or material losses were reported.
Greater Idlib remains unstable. The ceasefire in the region, which was brokered by Russia and Turkey more than a year ago, is barely holding up.
According to a number of recent reports, the SAA and its allies may soon kick off a large-scale ground operation in Greater Idlib in order to deter HTS and reopen the M4 highway. Turkey, who maintains a large force in the region, is already taking measures to stop any such operation.
Now a big war against Turkey must start
No surprise. I mentioned earlier the hts swine and turk backed terrorists will pay tenfold for the attack on the SAA. In a few more weeks it will 100X.
So goes the war of attrition in Syria. The hts are being ground into dust.
