At least 20 people were killed, while dozens of others were injured as a result of the Saudi Air Force’s intensive bombing of the territory of Yemen. On the morning of August 31, Saudi aircraft struck the village of Ar Rawdah in the west of the Yemeni province of Sana’a, as well as a military academy near the capital of Yemen, Sana’a, and a number of other settlements.

A day earlier, 16 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed in Sahan district in the northwest of the mountainous province of Saada. The airstrikes were carried out on a gas station near the town of Hajj, in 127 kilometers north-west of Sana’a.

The Saudi-led coalition’s Air Force also bombed villages in Amran province, Nihm district in Sana’a province and Mustaba district in Hajj province. On August 29, 16 civilians were killed in an airstrike on a parking in the district of Al-Mafraq Sharab in Taiz province.

Saudi Arabia has increased its strikes on Yemen due to the offensive of the Houthi Forces and allied units of the Yemeni Army near the Saudi city of Najran. Over the past two weeks, Houthis took control of almost all southern outskirts of the settlement.

On the evening of August 30, the Yemeni Army launched missiles on two camps of the pro-government fighters loyal to the former fugitive President Mansour Hadi in Taabat and Al Wazi’iyah districts of the province of Taiz. Saudi troops in the south of Saudi Arabia were also subjected to rocket and artillery fire.
