Dozens of people were killed or injured early on October 31 when a large explosion rocked the city center of Turkish-occupied Afrin.
According to the al-Modon news outlet, the explosion, which took place in the city’s vegetable market, was caused by a booby-trapped truck. First responders told the pro-opposition outlet that the size of the explosion indicates that the truck was laden with loads of high-explosives.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that ten people were killed and at least 30 others were injured as a result of the explosion.
Major Yousef Hamoud, a spokesman for the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) told al-Modon that the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) were behind the attack. The spokesman didn’t present any evidence to back his accusation.
“The Kurdish YPG is responsible for the explosions in Aleppo countryside, they don’t differentiate between civilian areas and the military positions of their enemies,” Major Yousef told the outlet.
Turkish-occupied areas in northern Aleppo witnessed at least three other explosions today, targeting positions and vehicles of SNA factions.
While most opposition sources hold Kurdish forces responsible for these repeated attacks, ISIS cells are known to be actives in these areas. Last week, the U.S.-led coalition killed the terrorist group’s spokesman in an airstrike on Turkish-occupied Jarabulus in northern Aleppo.
Lies Lies Lies, for all we know the americans were behind this bombing, stirring up ethnic tensions and building up a picture of confusion to justify further military action against Syria. The americans have not finsihed, they are now at war with the turks, russians, syrians, all the arabs.
