5 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and 4 wounded as a result of firefights with the local militias in the Donbass region, Ukrainian military spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said on May 29.
Motuzyanyk said that the Kiev-controlled town of Avdiyivka, north to the Donetsk city, is a hotspot. Sporadic clashes and firefights, with usage of artillery and mortars, are ongoing there.
7 Ukrainian military servicemen were also killed on May 24.
We remember a ceasefire regime, that is a part of the Minsk agreements, has been viloated on a contant basis by the all sides (the Kiev regime, the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic) since its start in February 2015.
The Kiev side of the conflict has been continuing military build up on the border with the republics of Donbass.
