Warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have carried out more than 900 airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in Syria’s central region since the beginning of February, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on the 27th of the month. .
According to the London-based monitoring group, the airstrikes killed at least 38 terrorists of ISIS and wounded 59 others.
The most recent wave of Russian airstrikes, which took place on February 27 morning, hit hideouts of the terrorist group near the town of Ithriyah in the eastern countryside of Hama.
ISIS cells are mainly present in the Homs desert, the Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle and the western desert of Deir Ezzor. The VKS’ recent combat operations have very much pinned down terrorists taking shelter in these areas.
For the past month, ISIS cells in central Syria have been mostly inactive. The terrorists didn’t carry out any meaningful attack on government forces.
While ISIS insurgency in central Syria will not likely end soon, there is no denying that the situation in the region has been slowly improving. All key urban centers and strategic roads in the region remain out of the terrorist group’s reach. Intense Russian and Syrian operations were behind this improvement.
Haha the Ukraine ‘special’ operation started to look a lot like Idlib operation. Russians are prying for Chechens to come for rescue. But how will they pay them, with MasterCard?
Wow! more RUAF airstrikes against some goat fuckers hiding in desert caves in 24 hours than in 4 days of a MASSIVE operation in Ukraine! embarrassing. Gerasimov fucked over the operation by preventing RUAF from doing its job.
Get those A-50U’s up and running, get those SU-34’s doing SEAD, get those SU-24’s escorting ground convoys with fire support, and get those SU-35’s doing 24/7 CAP all over Ukraine’s airspace. VERY EMBARRASSING.
In videos of TB2 strikes against RU armored convoys near Kherson and Kiev, the Tor-M2 did NOT have its radar deployed. Neither was the BUK radar even facing the direction of the drone. This is what happens when your airforce does not synchronize activities with army. Or does not even offer any support at all. Not a fan of UKROPS or NATO.
GET YOUR AIRFORCE TO WORK. Do its job. Or leave Ukraine. Very embarrassing. If Syrians can’t defeat goat fuckers without airstrikes, how the fuck is Russia going to defeat a massive European army without airstrikes and CAP?
900 airstrikes and 30 casualties. That means it takes the Russian airforce 30 strikes to kill one Daeshi? That’s very inefficient. At such a rate, Russia will soon be bankrupt, even without sanctions. C’mon… seriously?
Good work again by the Russian and all the Syrian forces involved.
