The Russian Aerospace Forces’ warplanes have destroyed 892 terrorist targets near the ISIS stronghold of al-Bab in the Syrian province of Aleppo, the Russian General Staff announced on Tuesday.
“The jets of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed 892 terrorist targets near al-Bab,” Chief of the General Staff’s Main Operational Directorate Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi said.
It’s important to note that the Russian Aerospace Forces coordinate their strikes in the area of al-Bab with the Turkish military.
The joint efforts by the Syrian-Iranian-Russian alliance and Turkish forces in the area already lead to de-facto creation of the al-Bab pocket where up to 3,000 ISIS terrorists are encircled. Few hours ago, the Syrian army’s Tiger Forces physically cut off the last ISIS supply line to al-Bab.
