An unmanned boat that washed up on the Black Sea coast in the Turkish province of Ordu on March 21, turned out to be an advanced model developed by the United State’s Sierra Nevada Corporation.
Turkish media shared a video and several photos of the boat, which was found by locals. It was reported that Turkish authorities will tow the boat three kilometers into the open sea and destroy it there, after carrying out “a detailed examination.”
Based on the footage, the boat was identified as the AEGIR-W, which first revealed by Sierra Nevada Corporation just last year.
Part of the AEGIR Family of Systems, the long-endurance unmanned boat was designed to carry out critical operations like intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, or even electronic warfare, and attack.
The boat, made out of high-density polyethylene, is ten meters long, with a range of over 500 nautical miles, and a top speed of 25 knots. It can carry a payload weighing as much as 300 kg. The one that washed up on the coast of Turkey appeared to be equipped with an electro-optical system, and what may be a Starlink satellite internet terminal.
It is still unclear if the AEGIR-W was deployed by the U.S. Navy, or by Ukraine, which stepped up its attacks in the Black Sea in recent weeks, going as far as attempting to target key gas pipelines and their support facilities, including TurkStream and Blue Stream.
Sierra Nevada Corporation has an active presence in supporting Ukraine’s maritime defense. In September 2025, the U.S. Department of Defense awarded the company a $15 million contract to provide maintenance, technical support, and sustainment for the Ukrainian Navy.
The AEGIR-W that washed up on the coast of Turkey was very likely operated by Ukraine and involved in some operations against Russia.

hopefully many similar russian and chinese boats are being supplied to iran for use against amerikunts.
idiutin thinks he can go to odessa, it will never happen. like lavrov says, we are going to squeeze the rùskìes out the enèrgy markets once we take iran’s oil/gas, then we’ll take back all of russìan gains in ukraìne. and then we’ll starve china’s economy and strangle the chinese cowards.
