On March 30, the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan announced in an official statement that the Afghan Army had carried out 69 special operations and 8 cleanse operations against ISIS and the Taliban in the provinces of Farah, Badghis, Baghlan, Takhar, Badakhshan, Uruzgan, Ghazni and Helmand during the last 24 hours.
According to the Afghan TOLO TV, the Afghan Air Forces conducted more than 100 sorties supporting the army’s operations.
The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan said that the army had killed 21 fighters, including 16 members of the Taliban, and had injured 21 others during its special operations.
Afghan sources believe that this series of special operations is a part of the security efforts ahea for the upcoming parliamentary and district councils’ elections in the country. The elections are set to be held on July 7.
However, experts doubt that these limited efforts are enough to secure the upcoming elections, especially that both ISIS and the Taliban are able to conduct attacks even in the Afghan capital of Kabul on a constant basis.
Deport US forces and friends if you want ISIS out of Afghanistan. The longer they stay, the more ISIS fighters are smuggled into the country. BTW, any word on the deployment of Chinese forces in Afghanistan?
lol US is there to advise, train and help the Afghan military. ISIS and Taliban will take over much easily with our help dumbass!
