An MD-530F helicopter of the Afghan Army crashed into a river in the city of Pul-e-Khumri in Baghlan province. Both pilots were killed. Media sources said the cause of the crash was a technical problem.
Other recent developments in Afghanistan include:
- A local police commander was reportedly killed in a Taliban attack in the northeast of Badakhshan province;
- President Ashraf Ghani and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan agreed on an urgent need for a ceasefire via telephone call. Ghani invited Khan to pay an official visit to Afghanistan;
- At least two people were killed in the shooting at a wedding party in Kabul;
- According to local officials, the troops besieged in the Dehradun and Gizab districts in Uruzgan province risk to suffer heavy casualties and the district will fall if military aid does not reach the region.
U.S. helos and high altitude are a bad mix.
Hope they survived.

Nice pictures. They really support the article. Unlike the SOHR and some of the other stuff.
Always a ” techincal problem “.
US has sold the Afghans inferior used helicopters, they should stick with Russian Mi-17 which even the defeated US occupation forces use.
Well aimed. I could never hit the river on the first try.
