The Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) announced on August 6 that its units killed 13 Turkish-backed militants in two new operations in the occupied area of Afrin and its surroundings.
In the first operation, which took place on August 4, Kurdish fighters targeted a vehicle of Turkish-backed forces near the town of Marea, east of Afrin, with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM).

A day later, ALF fighters successfully raided a Turkish position in the village of Brad in the southern part of Afrin. The fighters booby-trapped the position before withdrawing, which lead to more casualties among Turkish-backed forces.
Turkish-backed forces, which rarely acknowledge their losses, have not commented on the ALF’s claims, so far.
The ALF has stepped up its operations inside and around Afrin since the beginning of this month. Despite losing dozens of fighters, Turkish-backed forces are yet to take any defensive measures.

Lost dozens of fighters over the last month, more like hundreds. A dozen regular Turkish troops as well as the hundred rebels killed is probably closer to the truth.
