Ahrar al-Sham, Jaish al-Nasr and other “moderate opposition” groups have launched a fresh offensive against the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) in the area of Kurnaz in northwestern Hama.
The joint militant forces launched an intense shelling against government positions in the villages of Bridij and Maghair and allegedly downed a drone belonging to government forces.
A firefight was repoted near the government-held village of Maghair.
However, the militants have not used vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) yet. Considering that this is a common practice for the “opposition forces” in case of any major offensive, there is a chance that Ahrar al-Sham and its allies does not have forces for a large-scale advance in the area.
