Ahrar Al-Sham Units Negotiate Possible Reconciliation Agreement With Russia In Southern Aleppo

An Ahrar al-Sham commander

On August 30, a commander of Ahrar al-Sham and representatives of the Russian Hmeimim Reconciliation Center held a meeting to discuss a possible reconciliation agreement in southern Aleppo, according to pro-government sources.

The Ahrar al-Sham commander was representing only 300 fighters and their families who were besieged by Hayʼat Taḥrīr al-Shām (HTS) in the southern Aleppo countryside. This revealed that HTS and Ahrar al-Sham didn’t settle their agreement for real yet.

Ahrar al-Sham commander demanded that the area under its control was added to the de-escalation agreement, or his fighters to granted safe passage via the goverment-held to area to the area under the Ahrar al-Sham control in Idlib.

The Russian representative refused both suggestions because of a lack of guarantees from the Ahrar al-Sham side. An alternative solution was proposed by the Russian side. According to the proposal, Ahrar al-Sham had to hand over their weapons to the SAA and to agree for a full reconciliation deal.

“We are ready to offer help, however it is better for you to hand over your weapons and to surrender to the Syrian Arab Army, and we can provide all assistance for your families,” the Russian representative told the Ahrar al-Sham commander, according to the Syrian “Breaking News” news agency.

The Ahrar al-Sham commander agreed considering the Russian offer and was given time to discuss it with his fighters, according to the report.

This case shows a catastrophic damage that Ahrar al-Sham is suffering from its last battle with HTS. Many experts believe that Ahrar al-Sham is now just a shadow of its past, or even an empty name.

Agreed. A noble gesture by the Russkies.

Al-Sham starting to cry for SAA/Rus protection…

AAS finished in Idlib is believable. HTS took over whole batallions and 19 factions within AAS. Only in the turkish Azaz colony there is a real presence of AAS left and those have showed both against IS and SDF to have only limited fighting capacities.

It is the bankruptcy of Turkeys foreign policy. They either are resigned to consolidate their colony or leap themselves in the swamp that Afrin region will be for them if they attack it.

SDF and Russia will be waiting for them if they do.

Justin

Russia will be waiting for them sure, as long as the SDF do what they are fucking told and stay the hell away from DeZ! If they don’t, say goodbye to SDF in Afrin! Say good bye to Russian and SAA protection in Manbij too! Maybe u can war game a win for ISIS and HTS? Got any new ideas for us? RAT!

My suggestion is you apply your qualifications to yourself.

As for wargames, you can be sure Russia will simulate wargames with all kinds of alternatives, including ones in which Assad will or could lose. They will formulate their plans upon all these scenario’s.

As for SDF doing what Russia tells them to do, I do not think so, at least not in a general sense. Likely is that as a results of understandings between Russia and US SAA will advance south of the Euphrates and SDF north of the river.

I think it likely that SDF will not interfere in the fight for DeZ city and surroundings south of the river.

Furthermore, it seems to me likely that SDF has been asked to participate at some stage in an assault on Idlib, which they only can and will do as long as Russia has their back in Afrin.

As soon as the fight for Raqqah is over or winding down, SDF forces of around 50k will be largely freed up to be deployed elsewhere. Imo at least partyl north of the Euphrates and maybe Idlib, in which case Assad will have to let them pass from Manbij to Afrin.

Justin

So if I’m correct the SDF will house and protect the Southern FSA to attack the eastern DeZ oil and gas rich region! They will also attack this oil and gas rich region and now u are going to tell me that any of these oil and gas rich regions will become apart of the soon to be newly proclaimed Kurdish state! huh?

Like I said, unless they are invited to do so, they can stay the hell away from this region! Oil and gas is very important to Syria’s recovery! They did the same to Iraq, they split it (a long time a go) and made Kuwait. Took away a lot of Iraq’s wealth!

So in my view, the SDF can get fucked! Fuck off from oil wells! A Kurdish state which is PRO USA and PRO Israel is going to be a threat to Iran!

Tell me RAT, if YOU HAD TO CHOOSE which country had to have a threat on its border (Iran or Israel) which would u choose (if u had to choose one)

And don’t say Israel already has because this is the whole reason Israel wants the border between Iraq and Syria buffered! This war is an Israeli war, so who deserves the “Containment” and threat on their border?

Answer it and don’t be a coward and don’t worm ur way out! Choose one!

We will see where ur loyalties really are in this conflict!

Perfect answer of Russia to these terrorists, other wise just eliminated them, and that is.

Xanatos

Good negotiator.

Meanwhile, AQ is preparing massive simultaneous attacks on Aleppo and Salmiyah.
