The Airbus A400M Atlas is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed by Airbus Military. It was designed as a tactical airlifter with strategic capabilities to replace older transport aircraft, such as the Transall C-160 and the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.

Totally new design STOL, S&T transporter with a variant refueller. Came into service about 10 years ago and is way ahead of the opposition which is the Yanki upgraded C130J. Like all Yanki upgrades the Super Herc., will prove costly like the B737-800 Maxx as grafting shit on to a 60+ year old airframe DOES NOT WORK for the aircraft only for the shareholders.
