Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin revealed on October 19 that the leaders of Turkey, Russia, Germany and France will hold their long-awaited summit on Syria in Istanbul on October 27.
“The summit will aim to address the Syrian conflict with all its aspects, focusing on the situation on the ground, the Idlib agreement and the political process, and to harmonize joint efforts for finding a lasting solution to the conflict,” Kalin said in a statement, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
Meanwhile, Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary for the President of Russia, told reporters that nobody should expect “breakthrough decisions” from the quadrilateral summit because these talks are not about “breakthroughs”.
According to Peskov, the leaders of the four countries will discuss the repatriation of the Syrian refugees and the deconfliction agreement on the northern Syrian governorate of Idlib during the summit.
The quadrilateral summit may pave the way for more coordination between Russia and the European Union on the Syrian crisis. Such a development could boost the political process in the war torn country and force the U.S., which is stuck in its old policies, to become more flexible.

What real facts? The real fact that Israel is reduced to bombing Gazan homes and children while the United States STILL drops an average of 121 drone bombs on civilians in 8 nations they are not at war with DAILY?

Good. Keep the war-mongering plundering US, UK and Israeli nations which caused and continued the war completely out of it, and ban all their money and corporations from directly or directly participating in the rebuilding and having any trade relations with the rebuilt Syria. I would even boot France completely out of any negotiations. Russia should start with Syria in building an alternate world order from that run by the West with the rule of law and fair and honest trade and relations between all nations of good will.
