Days after the US-made Abrams main battle tanks entered battles on the Ukrainian frontlines, the Ukrainian army has already lost several precious tanks. On March 3, new footage from the battlefields confirmed elimination of another Abrams tank near the village of Berdychi located west of Avdeevka.
According to Russian military sources which shared the video, M1A1 Abrams tank was destroyed with a light grenade launcher and small FPV drones. Precision strike destroyed the lower track wheels and immobilised the vehicle. The crew of the tank was also reportedly destroyed by Russian fire.

UPDATE:
On the evening of March 3, the developer of the Russian FPV drone “Ghoul” reported the destruction of another Abrams tank by the small drone.
The published footage confirmed that the immobilized tank was struck by two FPV drones “Ghoul”.
At the same time, footage from the front confirmed destruction of the M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle, which is the newest assault mine clearance vehicle of the US Army based on the M1 Abrams chassis. The vehicle caught fire near the same village of Berdychi:
The destruction of the first American Abrams tank was reported on February 26. The destruction was confirmed by the footage from the front and the official claims by the Russian Ministry of Defense. On February 29, the destruction of the second Abrams tank near Berdychi was reported by different sources, but the reports were not officially confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Thus, the Ukrainian military lost at least two Abrams tanks in less than a week of fighting. Washington reportedly supplied the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 31 M1A1 Abrams tanks. Despite all the attempts to hide the precious tanks from the battlefields, the Ukrainian military command was likely forced to throw them into the battles in an attempt to stop the rapid Russian advance on the strategically important direction.
wow these tanks are really hunted down and boarding them is suicidal. this reminds me of the wehrmacht changing the numbering of their tanks, because they first started counting starting from their ‘commander’ tank which became an obvious target. and in the end the kiev regime will have to negotiate about returning odessa to rf.
the nato/cia bases are probably about keeping ukraine in the war by targeting dissidents and provoking the russians even more than they are about winning.
i really hope that foreign crews are aboard those tanks and not ukranians. start sending the body bags back to 1) teach the west another lesson, and 2) teach the sheep that their governments are lying to them about their involvement in ukraine.

weird. i assumed that a fifty-year-old design would have supernatural properties that made it exempt to over one hundred years of consistent leap-frogging of anti-tank weapons over tank defensive developments. the americans and british just pretended for the last thirty years that they weren’t fighting peasants or completely outmatched sanctions-crippled forces like iraq.
these tanks only worked in the u.s. army and only against a weak enemy, before they entered the area a no fly zone was imposed, terrain had to be flat, logistics hubs were deployed and superiority 100:1 in long range weapons was achieved. these tanks can’t repeat it in any real scenario today as all of these conditions were barely achieved in iraq, but not in afghanistan and today with cheap long range missiles and drones it is all over as even weak enemies are deadly threats for these tanks.
the west went to war like in afghanistan. russia responded with molten copper, thermobaric bombs and hypersonic missiles. the individual soldier and the tanks are irrelevant. the abrams explode and the air defense is destroyed by the missiles they are supposed to repel. the support of the west is irrelevant, it made only more ukraininas die in vain. the west cannot win; you can win the fight, but not the people. that’s why the usa lost in vietnam, somalia, afghanistan, etc.

the ukrainians have nothing to protect these tanks. it was predictable that this would happen. this war is not being fought to win, it is being fought to weaken the russian army. either for nato to enter the war or just to slow down russia’s economic rise. that is still unclear.
the west is really not meeting any of its goals. a downright fail for nato.
the west still doesn’t understand one thing. the west is not at war against russia, it is at war against the entire brics power. it is constantly written that nato has more soldiers. is not. there are billions of people in china and india, almost all natural resources are on the brics side. 20 countries are applying for brics and 20 more are interested. no one supports the small west in a possible bigger conflict. the world is tired of the western bigotry and dictation politics.

i have no idea why everyone is so gaga over the abrams. it’s a 1974 design, the same as the t-72, a 50 year old design! the t-90 is at least a 30 year old design, so its a more modern tank, at least. i want to see the armada’s in action. all that needs to happen is to launch drones with ai targeting and tanks will be doa.
