Late on April 24, a rocket attack hit a large Turkish military base located near the town of Zaylkan in Bashiqa district in the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh.
Iraqi news sources said that at last six rockets landed in the outskirts of Zaylkan. No causalities or material losses were reported. However, some locals reported seeing smoke rising from the base after the attack.
Zaylkan base was targeted with rockets several times in the last few months. Most of the attacks were launched from the outskirts of Mosul city.
The new rocket attack on the base came amid a large-scale operation by the Turkish military against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
Turkey launched the operation, codenamed Operation Claw-Lock, on April 17 to neutralize the remnants of the PKK in the areas of Metina, Zap and Avashin Basyan. The Turkish Ministry of National Defense claims that 54 fighters of the PKK have been killed, wounded or captured since the start of the operation.
In the last two days, Ankara acknowledged losing three soldiers and officer in two attacks by the PKK in the Operation Claw-Lock zone.
The rocket attack on Zaylkan was likely carried out by the PKK in response to Operation Claw-Lock. The Turkish operation was condemned by all sides in Iraq, including pro-Iranian factions who may have been also involved in the new rocket attack.

Looks like maybe an orange lam in the back ground. At the very least its not the ass holes blowing up some working guys truck and the belief he delivers paper products to US bases
