Ivan Sushko
On August 24, Ivan Sushko, head of the provisional administration of the village of Mikhailovka, was assassinated in the Russian-controlled Zaporizhia region. The official was a pro-Russian protégé in the settlement.
The assassination attempt took place in the village of Mikhailovka, 90 km from the city of Zaporizhia. Vladimir Rogov, a member of the regional administration, reported the incident. The official was blown up in his own car, an explosive device was planted under the car seat. At the time of the incident, the official’s stepdaughter was in the car. After the explosion, Ivan Sushko was hospitalized with severe burns, he was in a critical condition and died of his wounds. This is not the first assassination attempt which targeted pro-Russian officials in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
Local media gave several comments on the death of the official. Sushko was appointed head of Mykhailivka in April. He had previously served in the airborne assault troops of the Ukrainian army, and before the war, he worked as a toastmaster. Kiev authorities have not yet commented on the incident. At the moment, an investigation is underway and the search for suspects is underway, as announced by the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin.

As I have said before. Please be vigilant at all times! Check under your car before you get into it it only takes 2 minutes or less to do a security check before you get into your car. Look for anything unusual like wires or a lunch box typed up with a sea magnet to to hold it in place. All public officials in these areas should be made aware of how to carry out security checks on any car they use and also to be careful about mail arriving at their home addresses or at the office. Check everything. Anything out of the ordinary then don’t trust it. Also additional security should be provided for public officials in areas of puticular concern. We need to start looking at how these attacks are possible to be carried out and again intelligence is the key to finding out who is involved on the ground. Names and locations surveillance is also helpful in catching those involved because they always leave clues and they always make mistakes.
Russians don’t roll like that. Displaying any common sense like that is considered demeaning and lacking in bravery and trust.
This advice is sound advice and could save someone’s life. I had my own car blow up in a similar incident during the 1990s also never to touch or attempt to remove any suspicious object leave it for the bomb squad to deal with.
