On the evening of January 10, the Ministry of State Security of Transnistria reported about an incident at the Ukrainian border. According to the official report, shooting with firearms took place near the border, after which two citizens of Transnistria were taken to the territory of Ukraine.
The incident reportedly took place on January 7, 2024. The circumstances are currently being clarified. In its turn, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine did not comment on the reports.
Any other details of the shooting have not been provided so far.
However, it seems that the short official report may mean an operation by a group of Ukrainian saboteurs on the territory of Transnistria. Probably, the saboteurs of the Kiev regime penetrated the border of the unrecognized republic and abducted two citizens for unknown purposes.
This is far from the first Ukrainian provocation at the Transnistrian border. On the other hand, Chisinau is also escalating the situation. At the end of December, Chisinau held large-scale military exercises at the Bulboak training ground located near the border of Transnistria. Moreover, Moldova, which is not a member of the alliance, will receive about 500 thousand dollars as part of the special NATO program allegedly in order to strengthen its defense.
