On Saturday the 6th of August, members of Ireland’s Russian community held a protest in Dublin against the current trajectory that the 26 County State appears to be taking in regards to joining NATO.
Supported by Irish Republican groups, Republican Sinn Féin and the Irish Republican Socialist Party, the demonstration took place on O’Connell Street, Dublin’s main thoroughfare, facing the General Post Office – the historic site where the Irish Republic was declared in arms on Easter Monday 1916.

Indeed, just as Irish men and women fought against British imperialism in 1916, the US and UK-supported Imperialism that precipitated the Russian intervention was highlighted at the protest, with many placards raising awareness of the eight-year long war waged by the Western-backed Kiev government on the breakaway Donetsk and Luhansk Republics.
A conflict led to 14,000 deaths and involved the use of neo-Nazi paramilitaries such as Azov Battalion and Right Sector, with scant coverage by the Western media.
With 60+ demonstrators in attendance and with warm weather, the protest was well-received by passers by, and played an essential role in the campaign to prevent Ireland from joining NATO and becoming an active participant in the devastating wars the coalition has carried out in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.

My grandfather served in the Artic convoys to Russia during ww2 he spent his life in the merchant navy all over the world. I will say this the Russian people have our full support in protesting in Dublin or any other Western European city to expose the truth of what is and has been happening since 2014. We the British public stand by our Russian brothers and sisters and have done throughout this conflict which began in 2014. I will to point out the danger of Irish Republicans becoming involved in our struggle to expose the truth to the world. First RSF and IRSP stay away from them. While I thank your grandfather for his service and I know about the struggle of the Arctic Convoys if you are Northern Irish then you must know many have voted for a third middle ground party instead of the DUP –the Alliance Party -third biggest in NI -they are fed up with “the Troubles “and the two you quote are not majority parties in Eire /NI .

I have served in Northern Ireland during the troubles and have 1st hand knowledge of how the security services worked there during that time. Including the recruitment of informers and agents and how they were run . I also worked as a contractor for the MOD during the conflict in Afghanistan primary task convoys and transport for military personnel.
I lived in South London long ago -Tooting Broadway/Colliers Wood area – worked in Hawker Aviation – KIngston-on-Thames ( new factory not the old one ) when the P1127 was being tested and built -watched a test flight.

Very pleased to see Russian and Irish people together protesting against NATO in Dublin this week. There is so much in common between the ethnic Russian people in “Ukraine” and Irish nationals in Brit occupied Ireland I’m not surprised that passersby were sympatethic to the protest. The brit imperialists are supporting and aiding the ukronazi scum in the LPR and DPR in the same way that they aid snd abet the Loyalist / Unionist nazi scum in the occupied north east part of Ireland. Don’t be put off by the double decker bus in the background of one of the photos painted in what appears to be the colours of the Ukie flag. That colour scheme was on the city’s buses prior to 22nd February 2022. They haven’t gone that far in their Ukrophilia. Personally I prefer the old navy blue and cream or the navy blue and light blue which are the colours of Dublins Gaelic football team
