On Wednesday, a gunman opened fire on Republican lawmakers practicing near Washington for a charity baseball game.
The attacker wounded at least 5 people, including house majority whip Steve Scalise, according to media reports. The gunman was armed with a rifle. He was shot before being taken into custody.
Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, a true friend and patriot, was badly injured but will fully recover. Our thoughts and prayers are with him.

The shooter was identified as 66-year-old James Hodgkinson of Belleville, Ill., according to law enforcement officials.

The attacker’s Facebook page allows to see that he is not a Trump supporter.
“I want to say Mr. President, for being an ass hole you are Truly the Biggest Ass Hole We Have Ever Had in the Oval Office.”
