An armed drones swarm attacked residential areas in the town of Jubb Ramlah in the western Hama countryside in the early hours of June 5.
According to Local sources, the Syrian Arab Air Defense Forces (SyAADF) intercepted all the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) before they manage to cause any losses.
Opposition sources acknowledged that the attack on Jubb Ramlah was conducted by militants stationed in Idlib and its surroundings. According to this version, the attack was a response to the continued Syrian and Russian airstrikes on the region..
While the sources didn’t identify the group responsible for the attack, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) is the main suspect. The terrorist group is known for operating such armed UAVs,
Jubb Ramlah was targeted with armed drones many times in the last few weeks. The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) usually responds to these attacks by targeting HTS’ positions in northwestern Hama.
