AlMasdarNews reports: The Turkish Foreign Minister, Mavlet Cavusoglu, said to “Haberturk” newspaper on Tuesday that the U.S. plans to deploy an advanced rocket launcher system to the Turkish-Syrian border where the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) militants are currently operating.
Cavusoglu stated that the U.S. will be deploying the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) to southeastern Turkey in May of this year.
Reuters news agency confirmed this report after interviewing an unnamed senior U.S. military official; however, no further details were released.
In addition to this rocket launcher system, the U.S. is also deploying an additional 250 military personnel to Syria in order to continue their coordination efforts.
The recent U.S. military build-up in Syria has revealed a Cold War style arms race that is brewing between the latter and the Russian forces.
Both countries attempted to regulate a nationwide ceasefire in Syria recently; however, the U.S.’ absence near the primary battlefronts has made it difficult for them to help implement any cessation of hostilities agreement.
Washington is duplicitous and perfidious. At some point the Russians will have to fight these clowns. I have no doubt about that. Washington is populated by modern day Nazis.
wow only 250 that’s it are you for real . IT IS A TOTAL JOKE the un said that ISRAEL WILL GIVE UP the golan hights and
