The Egyptian army and police have carried out a large operation to hunt down remaining members of a large cell that was originally discrovered by security forces in October. On October 20, security forces clashed with a large militant cell in Bahariya Oasis area in the central Giza province. 30 security service members were killed in these clashes, according to reports. The two-days clashes also left 15 militants either dead or injured.
On October 31, the air force conducted airstrike on terrorists. Then, the army and police raided their hideouts and killed members of the cell that had been alive.
Security forces also rescued Police Captain Mohamed Al-Hayes who was captured by militants on October 20 during the clashes with militants in Giza. His evacuation can be seen in the second part of the video above. Now, he is receiving treatment at a military hospital in Cairo.
