On June 17, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies eliminated a small pocket of ISIS south of the T2 station near the Syrian-Iraqi border, according to Syrian pro-government sources. They also secured the Kabt mount, Tell Shadid hill and the areas of Abar Warak and Bir Atshan.

The Syrian observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) revealed that the SAA killed 18 fighters of ISIS and lost 8 soldiers during the clashes south of the T2 station.

Moreover, warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) destroyed a convoy of ISIS, which was attempting to withdraw from the pocket towards the terrorist group’s positions north of the T2 station, according to Syrian pro-government activists.

From its side, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq announced that ISIS fighters ambushed a convoy of the SAA east of the T3 station in the eastern Homs countryside. ISIS fighters destroyed a truck and a battle tank of the SAA with IEDs and ATGMs.

In the last two months, ISIS stepped up its attacks against the SAA in the governorates of Homs, Deir Ezzor and al-Suwayda. In response to this, the SAA and its allies launched a series of security operations against the remaining cells of the terrorist group there. However, little have been done so far.

” series of security operations against the remaining cells of the terrorist group there. However, little have been done so far”

When I’m going to read “SAA has created trap and have destroyed majority of ISIS forces during their SURPRISE attack on SAA positions….” It is all the time that those Jihad rats are having the initiative….Time to change the tactics or do something about them.Don’t you have people in charge with the brains?!?

As you said, it’s a tactical issue. The matter will be dealt with, it seems new soldiers are on this front, not the experienced ones, it is a training field. On the mid-term, the desert is needed for when SAA’s front lines touch the ISIS front line in Dara’a, Quneitra. The loses in life/material are painful but go back to 2012 and compare.

“It is all the time that those Jihad rats are having the initiative”

strange, in this instance of the universe the Syrian army has the general initiative since 2015.

you are free to listen to amaq’s version of relity though.

I agree in general. But not about that part of Syria. These ISIS leftovers in the desert are kicking in the balls SAA for quite some time. They do not seam to be in big numbers though. Yet they keep attacking and killing soldiers all the time without receiving decisive blow from SAA….

We must wage Jihad with all available resources so that all false claimants to absolute rule are dethroned, oppression and corruption are over powered, and justice is established among mankind. That is why the Prophet, blessings and peace be on him, in the very early days of Makkan life, declared: There were such people before you that a man would be seized and a pit would be dug for him in which he would be thrown, then a saw would be brought and placed over his head and he would be cut into two, and his flesh would be combed away from his bones by iron combs – still nothing would turn him away from his religion. By God, we will complete this mission until a rider will travel from San’a to Hadramawt and will have no fear but of God, and no worry but about a wolf that might harm his cattle.

no dice.

Go away you US-CIA Jihad peace of shit ! Go to you friends in Israel and ask them to become their personal terrorist.

John Whitehot

they are all gonna die anyway, and they didn’t change the course of the war a single bit. And in regards to losses, it’s Amaq telling that.

Another sign that the SAA shouldn’t be sitying on their hands in Daraa waiting for diplomacy to catch up with the military. Send those guys to Homs! Daraa will be politically ready by the time they get back.

Attrition47

No, the big stick is part of the diplomacy, the US head-chopping, heart-eating, rapers and slavers want them to divert resources.

Whatever we are required to sacrifice in our struggle in the way of Allah is not measurable against the benefits that we shall personally derive, that the Muslim Ummah will collectively gain, that mankind as a whole will reap. Nevertheless we must prove, within our human limitations, that we are prepared not only to profess our faith in our cause, but also prepared to struggle and sacrifice what we really love for that which we declare to be dearest to us. That is why, in the Qur’an, Iman is almost invariably bracketed with righteous deeds and with Hijrah and Jihad. Indeed only those believers are declared to be truthful in their claims to faith who are certain and unwavering, who struggle in Allah’s way with their lives and possessions. https://ne1.wac.edgecastcdn.net/80281E/ll_as_u/thumbs/2016/Jan/21/d3c84911fc04_sf_3.jpg
