The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) uncovered a large ammo depot during a recent combing operation in the country’s southern region, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on August 4.
“While combing the liberated villages in the southern region in order to secure them and insure the safe return of the locals to their homes, an ammo depot of the terrorist groups’ remnants was uncovered,” a military source told the state-run agency.
The ammo depots contained large quantities of weapons and ammunition, including:
- A US-made TOW anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launcher along with three missiles;
- Two Soviet-made Konkurs ATGMs;
- A Soviet-made Fagot ATGM;
- A Soviet-made Strela-2 man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS);
- A DJI Phantom 4 small drone equipped with a thermal imaging camera.

Most of these weapons were supplied by the U.S. as a part of a secret operation to train and equip anti-government groups in Syria. The operation, codenamed “Timber Sycamore,” was authorized by former U.S. President Barack Obama in 2013. Three years later it was halted by Prescient Donald Trump.

Nice find. Talking of Operation Timber Sycamore, it still goes on. Ironically, the old head of the CIA, David Patreaus, is doing seriously well out of it. Remember, he lost his job, owing to bedroom talk, covering classified information? So what is he upto now, as the Bulgarian Ratway comes to mind?

Out of curiousity, why has Israel decided it is time to evacuate the Israel Secret Intelligence Services/Al Qaeda/White Helmets (or whatever they are called today) from Southern Syria?
Faux Humanitarian Irwin Cotler, the White Helmets, and the Whitewashing of an Appalling Agenda Cotler’s campaigns for foreign regime change or intervention almost always march in lock-step with neoconservative U.S. foreign policy. Wow, massive dump. The jihadists created ammo dumps wherever they could, but there must be a system of code or signs for finding these dumps. Burying stuff randomly doesn’t seem so clever if you want to locate it five years later (as I’m sure the plan was, when the invasion didn’t fully succeed in the first year).
