Syrian President Bashar al-Assad vowed during an interview with RT that his country will resist any new invasion by Turkey.
In the interview, that was announced on June 9, Assad said that any new Turkish invasion will be met with “official” and “popular” resistance. The president went on to hit that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) could take direct action against the Turkish military.
“Two and a half years ago, a clash occurred between the Syrian and Turkish armies, and the SAA was able to destroy some Turkish targets that entered Syrian territory, and the situation will be the same according to what the military capabilities allow,” Assad said, referring to the 2020 Greater Idlib battle. “Aside from this, there will be popular resistance”.
In May, the Turkish military and its proxies began preparing to launch a new operation against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern and northeastern Syria. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country wants to complete the creation of a 30-kilometer “safe zone” on the Syrian side of the border.
The remarks of the Syrian president were not surprising. The SAA has been deploying reinforcements in SDF-held areas for a few weeks now.
On June 8, the SAA deployed large reinforcements, including heavy weapons, in the towns of Tell Rifaat and Manbij in the northern Aleppo countryside as well as in the town of al-Qamishli in the northern countryside of al-Hasakah, according to al-Mayadeen TV. Very recently, president Erdogan named Tell Rifaat and Manbij as the main targets of any new Turkish operation in Syria.
The SDF appears to be open to the idea of cooperating with the SAA in case of a new Turkish invasion. On June 7, the leadership of the group they would coordinate with the government troops to fend off any invasion of the northern and northeastern region.
Russia, Syria’s top ally, has been taking septs to discourage Turkey from launching a new invasion into Syria. In the recent weeks, the Russian military deployed fighter jets, attack helicopters and air-defense systems in SDF-held in northeastern Syria.
The tough stand of president Assad indicate that the Turkish military will find itself in a confrontation not only with the SDF, but also with the SAA, if Ankara launched a new invasion into Syria.
Assad is a good decent man and the world should thank him and Russia for keeping it safe from US and Zionist terrorism.
… but allowed UNHUMAN GENOCIDALS grabbing Syrian lands (up to now). WHY? Reclame back Alessandretta as well!
Freedom for Alessandretta and Konstantinople!

While you’re at it… How about Israel and the U.S. illegally parked in your Country?… And thousands of Syrians that have been murdered along with the hundreds of deaths of Russian military since 2015 that have given their lives to make the terrorists operations and the looting of Syria’s oil by the Anglo-Zi0nista$ cease?…
When will Vlad make it STOP!
Vlad is busy elsewhere. That’s why Erdo and Zion think the time is now to move in.
They can’t make it stop. Wagner just has to keep pretending Russian deaths are mercenaries.
ehem ” The president went on to hit that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) could take direct action against the Turkish military.”
do you see the pattern? the SAA would take action if after exterminating the SDF and forced the yankees to retreat, the turkish satrap doesn’t stop
if you want to drive the muricans out of Syria, just bleed them through terrorist attacks and by using Erdogan’s maniacal power thirst
Interesting observation. Thanks
But I sure hope those SA-400s that the Russians sold to Turkey don’t come back to haunt Syria in Russia and Ukraine!
They most likely won’t. You’ll find that there is a contact agreement on who they are allowed to be used against, and for defensive purposes. Furthermore, these batteries are thought to be located near Istanbul/Constantinople and Ankara. Appears their main deployment is against Greece, and Cyprus. That being said, Turkey has a poor track record for keeping with agreements. Though, these batteries could be hit in retaliation for being used.
Or…. how they are made passed on through I$rael to NATO!?… I’ll say it again… Dumbest most insane move the Russian Federation could have made!
Interesting observations. Thanks
Interesting observation. Thanks
But I sure hope those SA-400s that the Russians sold to Turkey don’t come back to haunt Russia in Syria and Ukraine. And the only way that could happen is if the Russian military has total supervisory capacity over those batteries inside and outside of Turkey used by the Turkish military!…
I hope that Russia will not exchange Syria for Ukraine.
And the 100’s of kilometres of land that Turkey has already taken ? Turkey’s drones alone with planes bombing out of their own airspace will ruin Assad’s Northern Army…..just like the last time.
You mean when they paved the way for ISIS and Al Quaida or do we not talk about those things?
Assads already escaped the country, hes in a Moscow bunker hiding with Putler… loololololol. We totally destroyed the Syrian Army last time so there is nothgin left to fight against this time we will just roll in straight in Damascus… Turkey’s drones will rule the skies of the whole world.

I recall meeting a Turkish business man at Odessa Airport on a flight to Istanbul. He wanted to sell me some land to build a house on! Anyway. I said thankyou but no. It was his first visit to Odessa. And he did not like. I told him he should give the city a chance. And see the sights. The point I’m making is I would rather buy a a small plot of land from a Syrian business man than a Turkish business man! It would be like buying a used car from Joe Biden or Tony Blair
Turkey can create a 30 km safety zone on its own territory.
This dude has wrong ideology but has balls.
He is funny 🤣
GO ASSAD and RUSSIA KICK BOTH TURKEY and USA out of Syria. – Z –
Turkey is ruled by a Neo-fascist dictator. Erdogan is a Kafir, not a Muslim. He is a Zionist stooge bought and owned by Israel. Turkey’s Zionist agenda against Syria and Iraq will fail miserably.
Turks are treacherous agents of Jews.
my heart breaks that these Assad and hes brave people have to face the terrors of the jews and the turks at the same time, thank god for Russia, I have the feeling the world would be a living hell without Russia and China openly fighting the jew world order
