On the morning of October 22nd, an assassination attempt took place in the city of Kramatorsk which is under control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The victim is the head of combat training of the Ukrainian army.
An explosion thundered at around 9:30 a.m. on Parkova Street, 107, in Kramatorsk. According to preliminary reports, the local guerrilla fighters planted an explosive device on the official Mercedes-Benz ML belonging to the head of combat and tactical training of the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The explosion thundered at the moment when the car started moving.
As a result of the explosion, the caar was heavily damaged and its front was destroyed by the blast. The victim was heavily wounded and was urgently evacuated to the local field hospital. According to Ukrainian reports, his condition is very serious.
The name of the targeted Ukrainian commander was not revealed. Ukrainian sources reported that he had previously been held captive in Russia and was exchanged in mid-December 2022. Fate gave him a second chance, but it seems he didn’t use it.
It is not clear who was behind the attempt. Pro-Russian guerrilla movement is quite active in Ukrainian rear, especially in the eastern regions. Most often they attack some logistics infrastructure in order to disrupt military supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the frontlines. At the same time, Ukrainians are fighting the military throughout Ukraine amid the ongoing massive illegal mobilisation which is more similar to a hunt for cannon fodder. Dozens of vehicles of mobilization officers and Ukrainian servicemen are burned all over the country every day. At the same time, the population of Ukraine is extremely angry and armed, including thanks to the uncontrolled distribution of weapons in the very beginning of the conflict. Any personal disagreement could be the reason of attack on the Ukrainian commander. One thing is obvious — guerrilla warfare is becoming more sophisticated and daring, inflicting sensitive blows on key figures of the military command.

good work, russia needs to feed these guys info on where diplomatic and nato liaison staff are located in ukraine. russia can hardly be blamed if ukrainian patriots were to kill a few heads of state or ambassadors or foreign ministers visiting, the partisans clearly have contacts inside the hohol goverment. after all this is what the usa has done to russias black sea fleet, even though it does more or less nothing for the land war.
