The Arab tribes of al-Waldat, al-Sabkhat, al-Emirat and al-Hlysat released an joint statement on November 3, in which they held the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) responsible for the assassination of Sheikh Basheer Faisal al-Huwaidi, a leader of al-Afdalah tribe, and called for an investigation into the crime.
“Sheikh Basheer was assassinated because he had rejected the SDF occupation and their control of Raqqa. He told them in their respected council: you are guests on our land and Raqqa belongs to its people,” the joint statement said.
Furthermore, the four tribes, which are among the biggest and most influential tribes in Raqqa, called on all Arabs to stop their political and social collaboration with the SDF. In the end of their statement, the tribes stressed that Raqqa “should be returned to its people.”
ISIS claimed responsibility for the assassination of Sheikh Basheer on November 2 and vowed to target any local leader who dare to cooperate with SDF. Back then, the Raqqa Civil Council condemned the assassination, but it didn’t mention that there was a disagreement with the slain Sheikh.
This incident reflects the fragile situation within the SDF-held areas in northeastern Syria. Despite that the tension between Arab and the Kurdish-dominated group is higher than ever, the U.S. appears to be unwilling to grant Arabs more rights on their own land.

Arab tribes usually lean towards anyone but Erdogan, it’s the Turkmen ethnic group that’s pro Erdogan usually [but not always]. Arabs usually go either pro Assad, or HTS [Saudi Arabia] or Isis, other than that they stick to their own tribal groups. The US did have a lot of Arab groups aligned to them in the beginning, but most have either dropped out of the coalition or been booted out by the US.

Plus you have many, many Chechen volunteers too. Lets not forget the IRGC and Hezbollah. On the Iraqi-Syrian border, you have the Hashd Al-Shaabi, or Popular Mobilization Forces of Iraq, who essentially answer to IRGC Al-Quds Corp. Gen. Sulemenei, who answers directly to Ayatollah Khamenei. Hashd Al-Shaabi also has deployed a significant number of fighters just outside the 50km line to Al-Tanf base used by the U.S. et al.
Given all this, it appears, if one looks at a map, that the U.S., British, French Special Forces and their bases, along with the ‘ outsiders ‘, the SDF Kurds, are essentially surrounded in a carefully planned giant double envelopment maneuver , a ‘ pincer ‘ if you will.
If things go south, like an attack on Iran, or the occupiers don’t leave, as they are on borrowed time, U.S. forces and their lackeys stand no chance and will be overwhelmed in short order. And air forces wont be able to change the dynamics on the ground.
