A double bombing killed at least 40 people and injured 30 others in the Afghan capital of Kabul, according to media reports. The first attack took place near a mosque and was reportedly conducted by a suicide bomber. Separately, two magnetic mines exploded on the walls of a cultural center.
According to Deputy Press Secretary of the Interior Ministry Nusrat Rahimi, the reported victims are a result of the first attack.

The final number of casualties remains unclear. So, the death toll may grow further.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. However, the bombings took place a day after the US Marine Forces reported the death of a suspected top Taliban member Qari Fida Mohammad that allegedly took much earlier.
