Late on September 8, a base of the US-led coalition located to the north of the Syrian town of al-Shaddadi in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah came under attack.
Military sources in the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces told the North Press Agency (NPA) that two precision-guided 120 mm munitions were fired at the base. One of the munitions landed near the fence of the base, while the second struck a vehicle maintenance facility inside the base.
The attack didn’t result in any casualties. However, material losses were reported by the NPA and several other news sources.
The US-led coalition has not commented on the incident yet. The coalition does not usually acknowledge attacks on its bases in northeastern Syria.
This was the second such attack within ten days. Late on August 31, a rocket attack targeted a base of the US-led coalition located within the CONICO gas plant in the eastern governorate of Deir Ezzor.
Iranian-backed Syrian and Iraqi forces may have been behind the last two attacks on US-led coalition bases in northeastern Syria. Last July, Iranian-backed forces launched a series of attacks with drones and rockets on coalition bases in Deir Ezzor.
Today, the US-led coalition is facing more threats in northeastern Syria than ever before. Despite this, Washington is reportedly determined to keep its forces in the region.

If Biden loses the congress in 2022 he’s fucked. The way things are going for them in iraq with the constant hitting of there supply convoys on a daily basis this also comes as no surprise, the resistance have been very consistent on keeping the pressure and not letting them get an easy occupation, on the other hand the kurds need to realise that the US forces sooner then later will also abandon them and they better start talking to Damascus.
Problem is from what i have seen those convoy trucks are driven by local Iraqi drivers while the US troops hide in their bases,they had a wake up call when those Iranian ballistic missiles trashed the Al Asad base,that means that could happen again,they have been told to leave the Country more than once.
