There was one of these stationed at NCS Oakland, Alameda annex with a US Coast Guard Cutter when I was a kid. I was hauling frozen, chill, and produce from the warehouse next to the pier they tied up to. To various military base’s commissary, and troop issue in California, Nevada, and Oregon. (Army, Air Force, and Navy bases) Interesting sights moving along the Estuary, an unlimited hydro offshore race boat cruised through one morning. Power by V-12 Allison aircraft engine.
