On October 17, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry released a video showing strikes on the S-300 air defense system of Armenian forces. The military did not provide details regarding the location of the targeted air defense system. Therefore, it may have been located in the contested Nagorno-Karabakh region or even in Armenia itself.
This is the fourth video showing strikes on components of the S-300 released by Azerbaijani sources since the start of the conflict.
The previous videos include the moments of the alleged destruction of 35D6 (ST-68U) radars and alleged S-300 missile launcher of Armenian forces with Israeli IAI Harop loitering munitions. The first incident took place near the village of Khojaly the Khojaly District, while another one near the village of Qubadlı in the Kashatagh District of the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Republic of Artsakh). The location of the destruction of the S-300 launcher remains unclear.

Very likely it’s Azerbaijani S-300, we never clearly see it’s destroyed. No sane reason why would Armenians place S-300 on the frontline when they can safely place it in Armenia, Azeri don’t even bomb armenian territory. So unless Pashinyan deliberately sacrificed these system for whatever reasons, this is just propaganda.

But the thing about recent perception of Armenians being undefeatable and Ohanian defense line impossible to penetrate, was developed as a propaganda, which is quiet normal for a country in war. But the biggest mistake of Armenians was believing in their own propaganda. They just ignored development and army building, while Azerbaijan completely restructured the army and applied 21st century warfare tactics.

Credit where credit is due, Azerbaijan’s use of modern drones on the field of battle along with tactical Ballistic Missiles have proven to be utterly devastating against an unprepared military like Armenia’s.
Armenia’s inability to secure and protect their air-space against such munitions/weapon systems have cost them dearly and if this conflict continues, the results for the Armenian military/state will only become more and more dire. At some point you have to think about the lives of your soldiers who are just being openly slaughtered by these drones due to military incompetence.
Don’t have a dog in this fight personally but this is just sad.
