The Armenian-Azerbaijani war in the Nagorno-Karabakh region has been ongoing since September 27.
- Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that Azerbaijani forces took control of 23 new villages in the south of Karabakh;
- Armenian artillery reportedly shelled the Tartar areas;
- Azerbaijan artillery reportedly shelled the Martuni area;
- Clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenian forces continue in areas near Iran’s border;
- According to Aerbaijan MoD, the Armenian military launched 3 ballistic missiles on the Siyazan region, 2 – on the Gabala region, and 1 – on the Kurdamir region. Armenia denies this;
- Azerbaiajni forces shot down 2 Armenian UAVs in the Fizuli area and another one in the Terter area.

I have seen this video and not 10Km ….are 35 km and during the video Armenian troops are attacking AZ troops you can see a armored vehicle which have been hitted!…without flat terrain AZ would be difficult to advance!

I watched this video in AZ media and they are 35km from lanchin…they are just being attacking by Armenian forces which have destroyed an armored vehicle….I have seen another video from Iran media…where 2 AZ vehicles are burning near Iran border while an AZ MRLS are launched rockets towards mountains!

It’s because of the flat terrain that they’re using that route to strike. And 35 kilometres means only that in another ten kilometres at most they’ll be within 152 mm artillery range of the Lachin corridor and able to interdict anything moving through it.

Armenian leadership could have had bloodlessly settled this issue with a benficial conclusion for them. If they really wanted to solve this in peace they could have came up with arguments such as “Okay, this land is recognized as yours, but our people lived here for years, we should share these lands in evenly manner.” Even if Azeris disagreed with this, they could convince Russia to put pressure on Azerbaijan to make them settle this issue peacefully. They could even had much more lands in NK by negotiating a corridor to Nakhchivan. Proposing such a corridor could have been very convincing for Az.
I don’t know what Armenia expected, really. Azeris were going to sit and wait them to give NK? This war was inevitable.
But now Armenians on the edge of losing everything in NK. After this point, there is no reason for Azeris to stop their offensive because they saw that they can make progress in the field. Maximalist approach and weakness of Armenian leadership is the cause of Armenian defeat.
The reason Armenians waited for 26 years is because they strongly believe that, both the West and Russia will come to save them, the victims of the “Genocide”. They considered them the second Israel, or another Kurdstan who will be “protected”. So Armenians never had the intention to negotiate.
But with the strong resolve of Turkey, even Russia has to think really hard before it makes any movement.
This is totally different from 1992-1994 when Turkey was sending humanitarian aids to Armenians while those aids were used in Nagorno-Karabakh war against Azerbaijan. Russia knows so well that its troops can’t guard the entire Armenia-Turkey border like before. Turkey can send in large numbers of combat drones and disable Russia air defense system inside Armenia.

You see what is happening in Syria Idlib? Russia never wants to engage with Turkey in Idlib. Turkey allows Russia to bomb those HTS rats who do not even listen to Turkey.
Russia has understandings with Turkey, Israel and Iran in Syria. Russia never wants to stick its neck out to confront anyone. It does not help with Russian interest.
“Turkey allows”…Russia dont ask for permision to Turkey to attack HTS…if Idlib is not a zone free of terrorist or AZ is in war in NK is because strong economic ties stop Russia to intervene!….business, comercial trade and investments in AZ and Turkey is even more important that economics ties with Germany for Russian interest!…above all when Nordstream are under sanctions and have been stopped!…Russia as well as Turkey have interest to stop future pipelines from Emirates to Jordan to Israel to Cyprus to Europe.
Unfortunately Putin has not lifted a finger this time and won’t as long as Aliyev isn’t stupid enough to attack Armenia directly.

I just have the feeling that India is doing the same thing with India-China border dispute. India never agrees to negotiate to settle the border regions. It is expansionist and wants to maximize its imperial border given by its British master.
But with the power balance keep switching to China side, India can never catch up. Some day it may become irrelevant. India would have had much better border positions back in 1960, had it agreed to the proposal from Enlai Zhou. But it refused. Now India is in even worse position than it was in 1960. This may even get worse with each passing day.

The Armenians had the plan back in July to start build the 3rd highway from Kapan, Armenia, to Fuzuli of Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020. So Armenians can keep hold of Nagorno-Karabakh permanently. This Azeri offensive is the direct response to that announcement.
Now Azerbaijan has fire control of Lachin corridor. It was expanded with the funds provided by Armenian diaspora overseas. Very soon Azerbaijan will have fire control of the Kelbajar corridor. Those Artskins better go back to Armenia before those corridors are closed.

NATO is not going after Serbia this time, but it is facing its own member, Turkey.
Also, the N-K issue has been determined by international community. There are at least 4 UNSC resolutions that were agreed by ALL world powders. US, Russia, China, France, UK and other countries.

With Lachin corridor under Azeri control, N-K is not defendable. All resources and man power will be exhausted.

Basically, as expected, Azerbaijan is winning on flat ground. But it hasn’t made any significant progress in mountainous areas. With all the military and economic indicators in favor of Azerbaijan-Turkey, their progress has been relatively slow… Progress will, without a doubt, be worst as the fighting moves to the mountains.
You are very wrong. They do not even bothering to move towards mountains, at least not yet. They directly went around the mountainous areas to cut the Lachin corridore, which is about to happen in days. That move was very clever. Because Lachin is the main supply line of NK.
Most of the people in here seem have a notion that Azeris trying to move towards Stepankert through mountains, but pushed every day. This is not the case, not at all, they will start to move towards Stepankert once they surround the mountains.
Azeri army has no plan to march to Stepankert. It is full of civilians. There is no benefit to military action into any places packed with civilians.
When the Lachin, then Kelbajar corridors are blocked, Artskins won’t receive any more military supplies, like ammunition, weapon and fuel. Then the Artskins would not have ability to wage war or mount a counter-strike.

It’s going to be extremely bloody for the Azeris if they try to fight in the mountains. One side is fighting for its survival, and the other for simple territory. Starving Artsakh will probably be their strategy
Azerbaijan plan was very clear and the plan has been executed perfectly. The plan is to pour into the flat Southern terrains. There are may settlements and they can settle the N-K refugees. Then they can march North very quickly along the highway to Lachin corridor. That side of terrains are flat.
When Azerbaijan controls the Lachin corridor, the Artskins are caged inside the N-K. They will be starved of all military supplies.
Remember it was Turkey who provided humanitarian aids to both Armenia and N-K during the 1992-1994 war. When Artskins started to attack Kelbajar district, outside N-K the first time, Turkey stopped all aids to Armenia. It also wanted to enter Armenia to support Azerbaijan. But Russia manned the entire Armenia-Turkey border and blocked Turkey invasion from the West.
Even if Russia gets involved in Armenia this time, Turkey can send in drones and use its artillery to hit Armenia.
The plan was executed perfectly? It’s been almost a month LOL. Azeris are so slow it’s non-sensical. Without Turkey they wouldn’t have made it far. But as for the Lachin corridor, yes it will be one hell of a flashpoint for the next couple of days. Doubt Artsakh will make it for much longer without Armenia if the corridor falls.
The Armenian lines in the south are imploding. It’s only a matter of days until the Lachin corridor comes under direct artillery interdiction, and after that it’s all over but the surrender signing. If the Armenian side withdraws forces from other fronts to defend Lachin those other fronts will crash before the Ottoman-Azerbaijan-Headchopper Alliance offensives. The Ottoman-Azerbaijan-Headchopper Alliance has the advantage of being able to decide where it wants to attack and when.
Artsakh is finished. It was done and over with the moment the Ottomans were permitted to start this war.
If the Western populace really controlled their governments Turkey would have been kicked out of NATO a long time ago, and their would be boots on the ground in Artsakh. There’s no support for the Azeris
