Azerbaijani military fire has hit several civilian houses within Iran’s territory, Iranian and Armenian sources reported on October 22.
Azariha, an Iranian news channel on Telegram, released a video allegedly showing the aftermath of Azerbaijani artillery strikes on Iran’s territory. The video is yet to be verified.
“Instead of deploying their forces in north-southern direction, Baku deployed the forces in eastern-western direction,” the Telegram channel said in a post, “On the other hand the Azeris are sending drones to Iran and deployed terrorists at the border with Iran.”
Iran’s territory has been hit by fire from both Armenian and Azerbaijani sides on several occasions since the outbreak of the battle in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh on September 27. No human losses were reported.
Furthermore, a number of Azerbaijani drones and loitering munitions were shot down or crashed after violating Iran’s airspace.
Iran warned both Armenia and Azerbaijan against violating its sovereignty. Nevertheless, the Iranian military is yet to respond to any violation. Tehran, which has a large Azeri population and enjoys close relations with Armenia, is likely trying to maintain a neutral stand on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

I think neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan intentionally hit Iranian territory. Either ricochet or wrong artillery coordinated. The border there is crystal clear: The River. If above video is legit, probably the country responsible will pay for damages, apologize and thats it.

On October 21, the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) launched large-scale air defense drills, codenamed Modafe’an-e Aseman-e Velayat 99 (Guardians of Velayat Sky 99). The drills involve the Iranian Army’s air defense units and the Air Force along with the IRGC’s Aerospace Force. Just a few days earlier, the Iranian military deployed additional artillery pieces near to the border with Azerbaijan.:)))))
