The Azerbaijani military destroyed at least one Armenian Scud tactical ballistic missile along with its launcher in one of its recent strikes, BBC Russia confirmed on October 16.
The Strike, which took place on October 14, targeted several missile systems which were placed on high-alert along the border with the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia acknowledged that “military equipment” was lost, back then.
BBC Russia shared a photo showing the remains of the Scud missile and its launchers, which were apparently hit with a high-precision weapon.

The pinpoint strike was likely carried out with combat drones, loitering munitions or stand-off missiles, like the Israeli-made Spike NLOS.
At least eight Scud launchers are known to be in service with the Armenian military. The Scud-B version, which is the one possessed by Armenia, has a range of 300 km, a circular error probable of 450 meters and a warhead weighting 985 kg.
Azerbaijan accused Armenia of launching ballistic missiles at civilian settlements in its territory on several occasions. Most of these accusations were confirmed to be untrue.
